Perched on the serene shores of Crystal Lake in Clifford, Pennsylvania, this new lake house blends comfort and natural beauty in a thoughtfully designed retreat. Krieger + Associates Architects are crafting a one-of-a-kind home that harmonizes modern living with the surrounding landscape, creating dynamic spaces for the family to relax, reconnect, and host relatives and guests.

Current Ideas:

We are working closely with the homeowners to bring their lakeside vision to life, drawing inspiration from Mellor Meigs & Howe—a Philadelphia-based architectural firm renowned for their early 20th-century Neo-Norman residences. The original structure has been completely removed, allowing us to rebuild from the ground up with unobstructed lake views as a guiding priority. The new design includes a luxurious primary suite that blends comfort with panoramic scenery, reinforcing the home’s connection to nature. A particularly striking element is the interplay between the local stone veneer and the wood shingles, creating a thoughtful balance of texture and tone.
