Woodmere – Francis M. Maguire Hall

Woodmere's acquisition of St. Michael's Hall is making way for the Frances M. Maguire Hall for Art & Education, a developing project of massive community benefit. The importance of the decision to purchase the property, renovate the residence into gallery and children's studio areas, and maintain the site as open space, contributes to the best possible outcome for Chestnut Hill and the Delaware Valley alike. The project team includes Matthew Baird Architects, our K+A team, Andropogon Associates, Sullivan Construction, and Aegis Property Group. While our role as local architects has been a small part of the larger whole, we actively engaged in shepherding the project through zoning variances and building permit processes as well as construction. Thanks to the generous gift from the Maguire family, Woodmere will have the space to put on view their sizable display of 20th and 21st centuries Southeastern PA artists.
